Departamentul de Stat al SUA aproba vanzarea catre Romania de sisteme americane de rachete HIMARS, in valoare de 1,25 mld. dolari, anunta Pentagonul.
Departamentul de Stat al SUA a aprobat vanzarea catre Romania de sisteme americane mobile de artilerie cu rachete HIMARS, in valoare de pana la 1,25 miliarde de dolari, a informat vineri Agentia de Cooperare pentru Aparare si Securitate (Defense Security Cooperation Agency), din cadrul Pentagonului, potrivit Reuters.
Agentia Pentagonului a precizat ca a notificat Congresul SUA despre posibila vanzare in cursul zilei de joi.
Luna trecuta, ministrul Apararii, Adrian Tutuianu, a anuntat ca Romania va cumpara sisteme americane mobile de artilerie cu rachete HIMARS si va achizitiona inca 36 de avioane de vanatoare F-16 pana in 2022.
„Pe langa achizitia rachetelor Patriot, o sa incepem procedurile pentru achizitia sistemului de rachete HIMARS, cu precizarea ca ele nu vor fi achizitionate in acest an si nu vom face plati”, a declarat Tutuianu.

Desi nici noi nici voi n-am auzit de vreo cerere de oferta din partea Romaniei pentru un sistem de rachete tactice cu raza de maxima de 150 km, Lockheed Martin are exact ce ne trebuie noua, astfel incat vom achizitiona 54 de vehicule lansatoare, adica trei batalioane.
Orizontul de timp pentru intrarea in dotare ar fi 2019-2025. Desi initial se anuntase ca suma pe care Romania ar fi dispusa s-o plateasca pentru cele trei batalioane ar fi in jurul a 700 milioane de euro, se pare ca in final s-au mai pus ceva banuti.
Din ce se vede pana acum parca s-ar tine de cuvant.
Una peste alta sa fie intr-un ceas bun si sa vedem HIMARSul in dotare!

Also included with this request are: fifty-four (54) M1084A1P2 HIMARS Resupply Vehicles (RSVs) (5 ton, Medium Tactical Cargo Vehicle with Material Handling Equipment), fifty-four (54) M1095 MTV Cargo Trailer with RSV kit, and ten (10) M1089A1P2 FMTV Wreckers (5 Ton Medium Tactical Vehicle Wrecker with Winch), thirty (30) Low Cost Reduced Range (LCRR) practice rockets, support equipment, communications equipment, sensors, spare and repair parts, test sets, batteries, laptop computers, publications and technical data, facility design, training and training equipment, systems integration support, Quality Assurance Teams and a Technical Assistance Fielding Team, U.S. Government and contractor technical, engineering, and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistics and program support. The total estimated program cost is $1.25 billion.
