Ca de obicei, aflăm de la alții… Pe scurt, astăzi, 22 august 2019, guvernul portughez a aprobat un buget de 130 000 000 euro pentru cele cinci F-16 destinate României în vederea completării primei escadrile. Înțelegerea mea este că cele cinci aparate vor fi la același standard ca cele din prima tranșă. Dacă s-a semnat sau nu contractul dintre cele două țări nu mi-e prea clar, dar aprobarea bugetului de către guvernul portughez este un indiciu clar că lucrurile sunt foarte avansate.
„A resolution was approved authorizing the Air Force to pay expenditure to cover the costs arising from the contract to be entered into with Romania for the sale of five F-16 aircraft.
In order not to affect the operational capacity of the Portuguese Air Force, the expenditure necessary to complete the sale, estimated at 130 million euros, will be fully supported by the revenues resulting from the agreement with Romania, which will allow strengthen cooperation between the two countries, enabling cost sharing, profitability of technical skills and increased operational capacity of the Portuguese Air Force.”
